Celebrating Authenticity: Oleocanthal’s Showcase at Grocery Food West

What better way to connect with independent grocers and retailers than the Grocery Food West? As proud ambassadors of the real “Made in Italy” we decided to participate at this great Vancouver fair – attraction for culinary innovation and gastronomic delights – alongside the Italian Trade Commission, which feautred several Italian food producers. We were sitting next to other great producers such as “Bachet” (they make great crostata!) and “Eat Pink” meat producers from Italy.

We brought samples of our new oils Posta Locone (100% Coratina from Fratelli Ferrara), Olio al Limone (EVOO oil that has been made by crushing together Gentile di Chieti olives and lemons from Sicily) and Crognale (winner of the Best Olive oil of the Year Flos Olei) and the ones we already sell in the city.

One of the highlights was the live culinary demonstrations by acclaimed chefs Giuseppe Cortinovis and Giovanni Trigona.

Chef Cortinovis delighted audiences with his mastery of traditional Italian baking, crafting fresh focaccia infused with Oleocanthal’s extra virgin olive oils. The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air as attendees savored each bite, savoring the harmonious marriage of flavors and textures. In particular, we made fresh pesto with the EVOO blend Masciantonio.

Chef Trigona showcased the quality of Italian pasta and served it with tomato sauce and (for a few lucky visitors) our fresh pesto.

Beyond the culinary delights, our booth served as an educational hub, enlightening visitors about the health benefits of high-quality olive oil. We were thrilled to see excitement from many store owners and managers!

Whether seasoned food enthusiasts or curious newcomers, visitors to the booth departed with a newfound appreciation for our products.
